Deer Creek Valley Ranch
in Bailey, Colorado
Eric and Lauren decided to get married at the privately-owned Deer Creek Valley Ranch venue in Bailey Colorado. It consists of 165 acres of hills, valleys, and spectacular views of Mt. Evans at an altitude of 7,740. Their original date was August of 2020 but because of Covid shutdowns, they rescheduled to the Fourth of July weekend of 2021. After dating for six years they were married alongside their 13-month-year-old son Sawyer. Planning ahead of time we did their first look, formal pictures with their wedding party/ family, etc beforehand.
Colorado weather is always unpredictable no matter what time of year one gets married. A huge rainstorm blew through right as they were supposed to get married. However, as people hid under either umbrellas or the gazebo, the rain subsided and the most beautiful and colorful rainbow appeared. It seemed more than just a coincidence because the colors matched the colors of their wedding. Regardless of having to push the ceremony back, the sun came out and they got married with the mountains re-apeard as their backdrop. Afterward, they had their reception in the three-story barn for dinner and drinks. There was still enough sunlight to have their first dance and toasts outside.
